The Story
Knowing where the key was meant something.
A tradition that followed us from childhood porches to a house in Austin.
The Hidden Key was inspired by a simple tradition.
Growing up, there was almost always a spare key hidden somewhere outside the house — beneath a rock, inside a planter, under a mat, or somewhere only friends and family knew to look.
Through childhood, college, graduate school, apartments, and adulthood, that tradition continued. Different cities, different doors, the same quiet system. You never had to knock. You never had to ask. You already knew.
You were trusted.
You belonged.
You were welcome.
The Hidden Key takes that idea and turns it into a modern Austin hospitality experience. A real house on a quiet street, kept the way you'd keep it for people you actually like — stocked, warm, unhurried, and yours for as long as you're here.
We don't advertise the address. We don't publish where the key sits. Guests are given what they need, when they need it, and nothing more. That's the point.
Find the key. Experience the house. Keep the secret.
